1 Douglas, AdamSaturn's Missing Rings. 42603
Robert Hale: London. 1980.
First edition (& 1st printing).
SF novel. Robert Hale produced books primarily for the library market (still flourishing in the 1970s) and so most titles are very uncommon.

''UK author of whom nothing is known beyond his authorship of four sf adventures for Robert Hale Limited, beginning with Point of Impact (1979). Robert Hale was a UK publishing firm which from 1936 - 1984, though mainly in the 1970s, published more than 450 sf novels, in hardbound editions, primarily for the library market. A large majority of titles originating with the firm were uniform in length (192 pages) and routine in substance, most being Space Operas varied with occasional Dystopias, though other forms of sf also featured. Although in the 1970s Hale published many US sf writers - including Poul Anderson, A Bertram Chandler, Hal Clement, Gordon R Dickson, Ron Goulart, Harry Harrison, Keith Laumer, Frank Belknap Long, Andre Norton, Robert Silverberg and Kate Wilhelm - from the mid-70s most titles issued were by authors unknown to the sf world. Some of these were young authors - for example, Adrian Cole and David S Garnett - who would soon move on to more ambitious projects, and some - for example, the actor Michael Elder - were authors who published primarily with Hale and who were clearly real individuals. Many, however, were pseudonyms, some of which have never been been identified'' (John Clute & David Langford/Encyclopedia of SF, 3rd Edition)..

Spotting along top page edges, else a fine copy in a fine dustjacket.
