1 Finch, Paul (& Gary Fry & Gary McMahon, Simon Kurt Unsworth, Alison Littlewood...)King Death - Arcanum Spectralis: The Collected Chapbooks (limited to just ten/slipcased sets). 42069
Spectral Press: Milton Keynes, Bucks. 2011-2012.
First edition (& 1st printing).
Stapled pictorial wrappers.
Collects the eight chapbooks published 2011-2012 by Spectral Press together in a slipcase. Each booklet was originally published separately in an edition of 100 numbered signed copies, but ten of each were then slipcased together with a special limitation on the title page of each stating 'This is number - of 10'. In this case (indeed in this slipcase) all eight copies are no 2. They comprise ''King Death'' by Paul Finch, ''Abolisher Of Roses'' by Gary Fry, ''What They Hear In The Dark'' by Gary McMahon, ''Rough Music'' by Simon Kurt Unsworth, ''The Eyes Of Water'' by Alison Littlewood, ''What Gets Left Behind'' by Mark West, ''The Way Of The Leaves'' by David Tallerman and ''Nowhere Hall'' by Cate Gardner. A neat item.

Fine set of eight booklets in slipcase with paper band (as new).

Historical fantasy.

''Pretty Lizzie Higgs is gone, burned to death on her own hearth - but was she really a changeling, as her husband insists? Albie Mirralls met his cousin only once, in 1851, within the grand glass arches of the Crystal Palace, but unable to countenance the rumours that surround her murder, he leaves his young wife in London and travels to Halfoak, a village steeped in superstition. Albie begins to look into Lizzie's death, but in this place where the old tales hold sway and the 'Hidden People' supposedly roam, answers are slippery and further tragedy is just a step away''.
