Novel: introduction by Ian R. Macleod. LIMITED EDITION: 200 numbered hardcover slipcased copies signed by both authors.

''''They're the reason why xenophobia was invented.'' So says Uncle Toby, renegade member of the Laurence family. The comfortable Laurence family lead a fairly traditional life. They have a manservant to look after them. The sea is nearby, as is the psychotherapist. Edgar Laurence is a well-known pianist. His grand-daughter, Laura Broughton, is a famous novelist. Of course, the family has its problems. There's an unmarried mother with a small child. There are mobs at the gates, divorces, illicit love affairs and a suicide - or is that two suicides? But life goes on. Until the night when a meteorite burns out in earth's atmosphere. It releases a number of microscopic beings. Well, if not beings, at least functions. They are a mystery, a challenge to human imagination. However, if you have one entering your brain, you may be able to communicate with it, perhaps to your advantage. Here is what humans have long wanted, a chance to study alien life. They do not like it when they get it. Laura Broughton defends the visitors while the world becomes more and more alarmed. That's what gets her into trouble. And finally, the visitors astonish us all''.

''mid-list writer Daniel Ellis becomes obsessed with the life and work of novelist Vaughan Edwards, who disappeared in mysterious circumstances in 1996. Edwards' novels, freighted with foreboding tragedy and a lyrical sense of loss, echo something in Ellis's own life. His investigations lead Ellis ever deeper into the enigma that lies at the heart of Vaughan Edwards' country house, Edgecoombe Hall, and the horror that dwells there. In a departure from his science fiction roots, Eric Brown has written a haunting novella that explores the essence of creativity, the secret of love, and the tragedy that lies at the heart of human existence''.

Short story collection: seven page introduction by Kim Stanley Robinson. LIMITED EDITION: 700 hardcover copies published in total, of which this is one of 200 numbered copies signed by the author and Robinson, and slipcased.

''the author returns to the alternate America of his acclaimed 2004 novel The Rebel: An Imagined Life of James Dean. In that book, Dean, the most promising actor of his time, survived his car crash in 1955, and lived on, making great movies and interacting with some of the foremost personalities of the Fifties and Sixties while drifting towards a strange political destiny in lockstep with Robert Kennedy. Now, PROMISED LAND expands on that premise, offering brilliant insights into Dean, the Kennedys, and others, both as they were and as they might have been. In this volume's dexterously interlinked stories and novellas, we come to understand Marilyn Monroe more vividly than ever before - her inner conflicts, her indecision between lovers and lifestyles, between life and death. We witness the evolution of Elvis Presley from a home-grown Memphis boy to a jaded superstar, the deaths of those closest to him fuelling his alienation from his better nature. We glimpse the paradoxical moral constitution of Bobby Kennedy, crusading idealist yet capable of deep cynicism and infidelity. We come to know the wheedling eloquence of Jack Kerouac, and the bizarre psychology of William Burroughs. And connecting them all, in chains of passionate friendship and enigmatic karmic sympathy, is the figure of Jimmy Dean, who believes his second chance at existence is a trust from God, but who struggles to uncover what exactly that means...Promised Land is a superb meditation on fame, love, and fate, replete with evocative dialogue, rich characterization, and dazzling prose poetry''.

SF novella. Introduction by Michael Swanwick. From a total printing of 726 hardcover copies, this is one of 500 numbered copies (as issued without dustjacket) signed by the author.

''Stephen is a retired Nazi hunter, divorced yet living happily enough on his ranch on the fringe of the Amazon jungle. But when Brazilian police unearth the alleged remains of the detested Auschwitz camp doctor, Josef Mengele, Stephen's life is immediately and traumatically transformed. At the grave site, he falls suddenly ill, and the diagnosis is terminal cancer; a hideous skin disease adds to his woes; and the Indian couple working at the ranch soon hint that Stephen's unresolved relationship with Mengele is the moral and spiritual core of a syndrome only superficially physical. For Stephen as a boy was a prisoner at Auschwitz, a subject of Mengele's horrifying medical experiments; his twin brother and his mother died there at Mengele's hands; survivor's guilt and mortal hatred remain unassuaged after the Doctor's peaceful death in exile. Something must be done. And so Stephen, accompanied by his strangely quiet and also afflicted Indian ranch foreman, Genaro, sets out to consult a rumoured miracle-working Doctor in a remote jungled region of Brazil. The pilgrimage is arduous and hallucinatory at once; and Stephen must ready body and soul to confront his darkest, most persistent hopes and fears''.

294 page sf novel: introduction by Rudy Rucker. LIMITED EDITION: 200 numbered hardcover copies signed by Di Filippo, Rudy Rucker and illustrator Tod Schorr, and slipcased.

''not all of his own novels are easily treated as sf, though all his work tends to exhibit a exuberant opportunism about genre-switching; but some are of explicitly sf interest. Elements of spoof and caricature are laced through the gonzo erotica of A Mouthful of Tongues: Her Totipotent Tropicanalia (2002), but the near future world of the tale is presented with very considerable intensity, as a sexually beleaguered woman is transformed - perhaps as the subject of a biological engineering project - into something like an omnivorous goddess in an Alternate History version of Brazil; and FUZZY DICE (2003) carries its inept protagonist through a variety of Parallel Worlds structured in accordance with various mathematical and cosmological premises: one a world prior to the Big Bang; another a kind of artefactual cellular automaton, and so forth. The end result evokes both Edwin A Abbott and Robert Sheckley, as well as Rudy Rucker, who wrote the introduction'' (John Clute/Encyclopedia of SF, 3rd Edition)..

Fantasy novella.

''in the fictitious country of Canada the arts scene is ruled by technocrats who thrive in a secret, nepotistic society of granting agencies, bursaries, awards and peer review boards, all designed to permit self-proclaimed artists to survive without an audience. In Revolvo, self-proclaimed ''hack genre writer'' Steven Erikson provides a daring expose of creative skullduggery in the wilds of a country suffering an interminable identity crisis. The names of plenty of real people have been changed and all specific details of the setting have been messed with, so if anyone guesses a certain prairie city in the middle Canada, where the author used to live, well, you'd be plain wrong. Besides, it was a long time ago and his memory is not so good''

SF novel: introduction by Robert Holdstock. LIMITED SLIPCASED EDITION: from a total printing of 700 hardcovers printed (of which 500 were unsigned trade hardcover) this is one of 200 numbered copies signed by both authors and slipcased.

''Omega: an apocalyptic rumour from the Eastern Front. Omega: something that will alter all the strategic calculations of the Earth's great military blocs. Omega: the code name for a weapon that may well bring doomsday with it. But if Omega is indeed the agent that will destroy the world, that world is not our own. For this is a timeline in which World War Two never truly ended: a timeline in which Hitler died in a plane crash, Britain joined Germany in its battle against Communist Russia, and the present is an age of intermittent, but deadly, armed conflict between the USSR, the European Alliance, and the USA. The frontier regions are radioactive wastelands, nuclear winter threatens catastrophe, global confrontation could erupt again any time - and that's before Omega is taken into account...This is the reality experienced by Owen Meredith when an accident forces his consciousness from the England we know into the mind of his cognate self in that other darker, Europe.Switching back and forth between being plain Owen Meredith and troubled Major Owain Maredudd, Owen is faced not only with a Cold War going Hot, but with a deep crisis of identity. Who is he? Whose twisted destiny is he treading? Did the ordinary domestic life he remembers ever even take place? Perhaps the universe of Owain and Omega is merely a symptom of mental illness - but if so, why is it so urgently tangible?''
